Since the origin of Alpinism Galtuer is known to be a central starting point for the mountains of the "Blue" Silvretta. Countless easy and challenging walking-tours lead from Galtuer to the surrounding mountains.
Ca. 300 kilometres of hiking trails and 18 alpine and mountain huts open up the Silvretta mountains and valleys around Galtuer, the Samnaun Group and the Verwall and offer countless tours starting from Galtuer, as well as walking-tours from hut to hut lasting several days. Together with professional guides you conquer the highest mountain peaks.
But not only demanding hikers will be enthusiastic about the mountain scenery - also for families with children Galtür offers special hiking routes. Also hiking tours with a baby buggy are possible due to minimal raisings.
The hiking bus brings you to the starting point of your hiking route and back to the hotel.

FAMILY HIKE Stafali pond
A crystal-clear high mountain lake in the middle of a beautiful forest. A leisurely walk starting from Galtuer to the high route and to the Stafali pond (walking time ca. 1 1/2 hours). There you will find 3 stone-build griller and enough fuel at leisure. A few hours stay at Stafali pond are a must on a summer vacation in Galtuer!

Kopsstausee-Zeinisjoch-Galtür
Start at the Alpkogelbahn top station: The leading down way leads you to the shore of the Koppstausee. Now you can go on left across the masonry dam or on the right along the shore directly to the Gasthof Zeinisjoch. At the resting points you can enjoy a wonderful view on the Kosstausee with its masonry dam and the impressing Alpine panorama with view to the neighbouring Montafon.

Sunny Mountain – mountain pastures
A great adventure for children: the Dias-Bahn brings you to the Sunny Mountain Adventure park. The park is situated at 1830m altitude and offers the little guests, fun and action. Tree houses, a big lake and slides are just some of the things you can see there. You can make your way back by foot or cableway. An ideal hiking tour with families.

Health- and spa park
From See you go with the Medrigjochbahn up to the health- and spa park. At various spa stations you experience total recreation. You can Kneipp, the soles of your feet will receive a massage and you can relax with aromativ essences. You can make your way back by foot.
Idalpe - Paznauner Thaya
With the cableway you reach the Idalpe on 2308 m altitude. From there you walk to the Höllkar passing the Videralp. Here the hiking path leads you in the direction of Sassgalun passing the Paznaun Thaya, from here you reach the middle station to Ischgl. On the Paznaun Thaya you are served homemade specialities.
